Snowdrops,
February brings Snowdrops and Snowdrop events. Many N T houses open at weekends in February to Show of the drifts of snowdrops in the grounds. One of the Needle districts ' churches St Leonard's Beoley has a Snowdrop Weekend to show off the snowdrops in the churchyard and collect money for the upkeep of the church. Many of the local church and graveyards have snowdrops in them and St Nicks in Kings Norton have snowdrop planting days to increase there snowdrop drifts.
below are some photos of local church yard drifts.

A bit of this and a bit of that!
This blog will be dolly mixter of all sorts of things from Redditch now and then and the villages and towns in what was called the needle district a hundred years ago. Time moves on so do people and the places they live in. Local history and the present has many tales to tell and I hope to do this.
